In response to the emails received today we have received an update on the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Unfortunately it’s not good news as from July 5th the Sacraments will not be taking place. Bishop Fintan on advice from government has written to all Priests of diocese stating how disappointing the news will be for children & the families along with the teachers who have prepared the children especially for Confirmation as it is only a few days before the ceremonies were due to take place.
We at the Church share your disappointment as we had a lot of work done preparing the Church for the ceremonies. Hopefully it will not be too long before we can celebrate with you.
